As a Merchandising Admin Assistant, you’ll be at the centre of it all. This is your opportunity to build a career in Merchandising, learning how data, stock and strategy come together to drive profit and performance.

You’ll be analytical, organised and commercially curious - ready to dive into the detail while keeping one eye on the bigger picture.

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting the Merchandising team with accurate analysis and admin to help maximise profit across all channels
Managing stock inventory with precision and attention to detail
Owning allocation worklists in line with direction from the Assistant Merchandiser / Merchandiser
Maintaining weekly intake forecasts and providing clear, accurate summaries
Ensuring promotions and markdowns are correctly actioned and maintained
Keeping product attribution accurate within our single view systems
Monitoring sales, stock, intake, margin and commitment - turning data into meaningful insight
Contributing to stocking strategies, suggesting actions and improvements where needed
Working closely with Buying, Core Merchandising and Distribution to continuously improve ways of working
Using store visits, comp shops and trading history to support recommendations that positively impact performance

What We’re Looking For

This is an entry-level role - previous retail or MAA experience is helpful, but not essential. What matters most is your mindset. We’re looking for someone who is:

Confident with numbers and comfortable analysing data
Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills
Proactive, resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
Confident using MS Office and quick to learn new systems
Commercially aware with a genuine interest in product and performance
A strong communicator who thrives working collaboratively
Curious, ambitious and motivated to build a career in Merchandising
Passionate about the River Island brand
